Media Coverage of Donald Trump

The media coverage for the Republican candidates is very interesting in that they often miss the point of Donald Trumps presidential nomination efforts. Guides for political office realize that name recognition is a most important factor in securing the voters positive action. Mr. Trump is working on the basics of winning , name recognition. What other republican candidate is getting mass public attention. Interviews of a diverse group of potential voters indicates so little knowledge and interest rest in the “issues” of the campaign. Whether that issue is illegal immigration, taxes, public education, burn the flag etc. these resonate little on the mass number of potential voters. This dismaying situation may be re enforced by the fact that close to 50 % of the potential voters pay no federal income taxes.
The federal public dole seems to produce many potential voters who are reacting to name recognition and emotional issues, not who the best leader might be. When a college student does not know who the first President of the United States was nor the names of theirir present Congressman or Senator what other conclusion is possible. The Republican candidate list is full of qualified leaders whose political guides fail to recognize that if you hide your light under a cover no one can see it. The current Congressional leadership has made promises that were unmet ,i.e. on illegal immigration, omnibus bills , financial reform, international trade ,etc.. They have a credibility level only equal to the current Administration.
The “winner” of the race for the office of President is likely to be one whose name is most readily recognized. Whose issues are emotionally based and appeals to a issues like the cry of Jobs! Jobs ! Jobs! Incidentally, the recent international trade bill provides a provision to those who will lose their job due to this agreement. The front “runner” for the Democrats has that name recognition, whether her past record will become a voter decision issue is a question for all our future hopes and expectations.
It seems we are in the position of praying for Divine intervention for the future path of our nation!
