SCOTT PICKS THRASHERS REPLACEMENT…GENERAL ELECTION VOTERS NOW IN DILEMMA

This morning, September 19, 2014, I was notified that Florida Governor Rick Scott has chosen an individual from North East Florida to replace Senator John Thrasher in Senate District 6.
Apparently, Governor Scott already knows that Senator Thrasher has been selected as the President of the Florida State University.
The question is: How does Governor Scott know who has been selected? The announcement of the new President of the Florida State University is not to be announced until Tuesday, September 23, 2014?
Considering that Thrasher is selected as FSU President, this leaves the voters in St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Volusia counties with the possibility of a different scenario.
1. If Senator Thrasher resigns before the general election on November 4 and Governor Scott selects Thrashers replacement it creates a problem for voters. Senators Thrasher’s name would remain on the ballot, but all votes for Thrasher would go to the person that Governor Scott has chosen to take Thrashers seat.

THE VOTERS WOULD BE VOTING FOR A GHOST CANDIDATE.

2. If Senator Thrasher is selected as the President of the Florida State University and chooses to resign after the general election in November, Governor Rick Scott will call a special election. The cost of this special election to the taxpayers could run in excess of $1,150,000.
3. If Senator Thrasher is reelected and selected as the President of the Florida State University and his appointment does not become effective until December 1, 2014, he could continue to hold his seat in the Florida Senate until the first of December. In the meantime, as a Florida State Senator he would be able to participate in committees, budget hearings and make recommendations which would or could affect his constituents and possibly the Florida State University. Voters will still have elected the ghost candidate of Governor Scott’s choice, not a candidate of their own choosing.
There are two candidates running for Florida Senate, District 6, John Thrasher and Kathleen Trued.
You know both of these candidates.

It appears, if John Thrasher wins you will end up with Gov. Scott’s candidate who has no experience in politics.

Kathleen Trued has been involved in politics all of her adult life, good professional experience.
I recommend you vote for KATHLEEN TRUED for Senate, District 6…YOUR CANDIDATE…NOT THE CANDIDATE GOVERNOR SCOTT CHOSE FOR YOU.
